What vehicles are eligible?

Passenger, 4×4, and light commercial vehicles (GVM under 3 500 kg) that are less than 10 years old and have travelled fewer than 200,000 km at policy inception. Vehicles must be locally manufactured or imported with a minimum 12-month local manufacturer’s warranty.

What exactly is a top-up warranty?

AA Apex runs in conjunction with an active underlying mechanical breakdown policy from any recognized, regulated warranty supplier. It takes care of the financial gap between your underlying policy’s limits and the actual cost of parts and market-related labor charges.

How long does cover last?

Your AA Apex cover is valid for a full 24 months with completely unlimited mileage during the policy term.

How do I submit a claim?

Report your claim to the Claims Department within 5 days of the incident. Call 0860 267 267 (weekdays 8am–5pm), email claims@ampwarranty.co.za, or log it online at www.aawarranties.co.za/claims. Make sure you have your underlying policy wording and their approved repair quote handy!

Are there servicing rules I need to follow?

Yes. To keep your cover active, you must service your vehicle at a franchise dealer, manufacturer-approved, or AA-approved facility according to the manufacturer’s intervals (or at least once a year). A service run-over of 1,500 km or 30 days is permitted.
