BodyWize Plan FAQs
What does my BodWize Plan cover me for?
You are covered for minor dents that can be lifted by paintless dent removal, minor scratches that can be touched up or polished out, stone chips that can be filled and sealed, repairable windscreen chips, tar removal, restoring faded headlight lenses, restoring scuffed rims and mags, and hail damage repair.
The plan covers repairs only. No panels or parts are replaced, rims and mags are restored rather than replaced, and a ripped or torn panel is not a minor dent. Rims and mags, tar spots, headlight lenses and hail damage are each limited to one claim in any 12 month period.
How often can I make a claim?
You can make one claim per quarter, for the duration of your plan. The next quarter is counted from the date your previous claim was authorised, not from the calendar quarter. Claims start 30 days after your plan begins.
Is there a limit to the amount I can claim each month?
You can claim up to R7 000 per claim, including VAT and less any excess. That limit applies once per quarter, and covers labour at the rate agreed with the approved repairer network. You will need to pay for any damage above that amount.
If damage exceeds my covered amount for the month, can I carry the balance of repairs over to the next month?
The repairer must provide photographic evidence of all damage before authorisation, so no balance can be carried over to the next quarter. Damage identified but not repaired during an approved claim cannot be submitted again later.
Can I use my policy on other vehicles that I own?
The policy only covers the vehicle stated on your policy schedule.
Where can I take my vehicle for repairs?
Your vehicle must go to an AA Warranties Approved or AA Quality Assured repair facility. The repairer must call our claims advisors on 0860 267 267 for authorisation before starting any work.
If you use a facility outside the approved network, a 10% excess is applied to the approved claim amount, with a minimum of R500 per claim. The current list is at aafinancialservices.co.za/repair-network.
